Finding and Understanding Model & Serial Numbers

Model and serial number stickers are critical for obtaining warranty service and ordering the correct parts.

The model and serial number will be located on the back of your LG TV. Depending on when the TV was manufactured, the label may be on either the back right or back left of the unit.

Using the Model/Serial to order the correct parts

For this example, we will use refrigerator LRFOC206S / 00 Serial # 402KRLRLA904. Pictures will come from GSFSplus.

Green = Model Number

Yellow = Serial Number

Red = Product Code

For this scenario, we will say that we need an indoor icemaker.

In your parts lookup, search for the model numberLRFOC2606S.

Select the correct model number. In our example picture, notice that there is only one factory designation: EKHQ. Some models may have more than one factory designation, and if you select the wrong country code, the part you receive may be incorrect.

This is a Korean model, based on the serial number402KRLRLA904, with a product code of/00.

So, in our dropdown box, we can select either the first option or the third option. The third option provides more detail because it also includes the alphanumeric product codeASTCNA0, so we will select this option.

Next open the Exploded View, and search for the icemaker in the door.

Copy the part number in the exploded view and search for it in the parts search box.
