Step 1

When the display is broken, this will be impact damage, this is not a manufacturing defect, you will need to replace the Display PCB.

Step 2

When the display is melted or burned, this this is not a manufacturing defect, usually from having a pot or pan not the right size for the burner, or not positioned correctly on the burner, usually on a gas range.

You will need to replace the Display PCB.

Large Pot or Pan is too close to control panel

Large Pot or Pan is not centered on the burner causing flame and heat to jump up near the control panel

Step 3

If the Complaint is of the Paint/Enamel coming off a determination of what is the cause of failure needs to be confirmed as this is not a replaceable or repairable part. Customer abuse is not covered.

Step 4

A Chip or deep scratch could be from the oven racks (with heavier items on it), being moved to another level inside the oven, and not removed properly.

Do not use oven cleaners. Commercial oven cleaner or oven liner proactive coating of any kind should not be used in or around any part of the oven.
