3-WAY VALVE CENTERING PROCEDURE

Place the 3-Way Valve in “Home” Position

OPTION 1

There are a few ways to place the 3 Way Valve in the Home position.

Unplug the unit for approximately 20 seconds, then plug the unit back up. Wait for approximately 15 seconds then unplug the unit again.

The 3 Way valve should be open at this point. (You can place your hand on the valve and feel it doing a back-and-forth positioning, then stopping, at that point it is centered).

OPTION 2

Another method to center the 3-way valve is to put the unit into Test Mode One. Press the Test Button on the Main board one time and wait approximately 15 seconds then unplug the unit. The 3-Way Valve will be open at this point.

Option 3: Another method to center the 3-way valve is to use the 3-Way Valve jig (part number CJT30120301) and the 3-Way valve cable included with the jig. With this tool you will be able to center the 3-way valve as shown in the instructions below.

Connect the battery to the jig:

Connect the jig to the 3-Way Valve:

Activate the 3-Way Valve with the number one button:

Select the 3-Way Valve Type:

Select “All”, this will open the 3-Way Valve to both evaporators making evacuation and charging faster:
