Overcharge
Symptoms of an over charged unit, (typically happens after a repair has already taken place.)
- Compressor current – Will be higher than normal. (also, may display a 6-blink compressor code.)
- Low side pressures – Will be higher than normal.
- High side pressures – Will be higher than normal.
- Frost pattern – Will be beyond the evaporator and may frost all the way back to suction line. And compressor.
- Compressor Noise – Will typically be louder than normal as liquid refrigerant is causing the compressor to strain.
